"oh, you must be there very early. best at 5 o'clock!" that was the advice of our landlady when asked at what time the ploughing ceremony was supposed to start. i overslept the alarm clock at 4:15am. and then the bus to the royal field just left the moment before i arrived at the bus stop.
so finally, getting there around 6 o'clock, i realized that only a few other spectators had just arrived - because the ceremony would only start at about 10 o'clock!
the plowing field, the location of the ceremony was widely closed off so that it was almost impossible to see anything of the ploughing ceremony itself. and the barriers were also very well protected - to make sure that the spectators didn't storm the plowing field before the end of the ceremony.
but luckily after the ceremony the barriers were opened for the big digging afterwards...
